For this course, the student drummer is accompanied by their teacher on a different instrument. This gives the student an invaluable insight into many of the different ways that drums and percussion can affect a piece of music.
We aim to tackle a classic drum beat each week, as well as providing guidance to mastering various technical aspects of playing such as rudiments and general technique.
We also strongly encourage our drum students to form bands with other musicians in the school, and offer them the opportunity to perform at the end of year concert.
